How It Works
Our parenting class for divorce is 100% online and includes full audio. To get started, just click the Enroll Here button in the “Two Parents, Two Homes” box. From there you will enroll with your basic information, then pay for the course. Once paid for, you can begin immediately and stop and start the program at your convenience. The Divorce Class is divided into chapters and at the end there is a final exam. As you progress through the class, you will see the chapters made up of pages of content. Each page will include text and audio. To give interest, there are pictures and videos. At the end of a chapter, there will be a short quiz made up of multiple-choice, true/false, and short essay questions. At the end of the course, there is a final exam, but don’t worry! It is set up in a similar structure and includes similar questions as what is throughout the course. What happens if you fail? Don’t worry about that either, we will give you a second chance at the final exam. So long as you actively participate, you will do an excellent job. Besides, many courts, lawyers, probation departments, CPS offices, social workers, and more require you take a final test while enrolled in shared parenting courses/parent education and family stabilization courses.

Money order scams
The most common issue with companies offering online parenting classes is that they have very poor customer service. They do not answer their phone calls and voice mail boxes go unchecked (if they are not already filled to capacity.) So, what happens when you cannot finish the course you started? What happens when they don’t answer your calls, messages, or emails? You often waste time trying to contact the company just to get a refund from the bank. Meanwhile, your course progress is lost and you have to start the whole process over again when you go to another company. Very frustrating! However, we value your time and money and offer you the best customer service in the industry. If you need help or just have questions, our lines are open. With us, you will get a live person – usually within just one ring. In fact, we encourage you to give any company a call before purchasing. This will give you a good idea of what the company’s customer service is like. If you get their voicemail, then be very cautious!
Be warned: Others will take your money and sell you a worthless certificate without a course and the courts will not accept it. The courts have high standards for online divorce courses and parenting classes. Throughout this process, it is easy to waste time and money. It is often hard to get a refund for courses not accepted and impossible to make up for lost time and stress.
There are also money order scams. These scams often state you must pay the company in the form of a money order to get started. The price may even be much lower than that of other companies. Be careful of a deal that sounds too good to be true, it often is! Beware, any company that exclusively accepts money orders as payment is an automatic scam. Money orders are very similar to sending cash money and can never be recovered. This is why money orders are used in these scams, because once you send money, you have no hope of recovering it. There isn’t a credit card company or bank you can call to get a refund in this situation.

Description
The 4-Hour Two Parents, Two Homes Parenting Class is also known as a co-parenting course, divorce course, shared parenting course and a divorce seminar. It meets the requirements for: COPE class, seminar for divorcing parents, child impact seminar, pre-divorce seminar, and divided yet united course. Courts require that parents of minor children, who are divorcing or breaking up, complete a parenting course, just like this one, before finalizing orders for visitation, custody, or child support.
Divorce is hard on any family, both for the parents and especially the children. Naturally tensions will rise and it is easy for conflict to get away from them. During divorce, the family is forced to change, their home, habits, routines, finances, and even school districts. With each change, there is the opportunity for conflict. Both parents and their children will fight for what they want and need. When life changes rapidly, the desire to cling to familiarity or control becomes stronger - leading to more conflict. During these times, it is especially hard to compromise with the other parent.
Regardless of conflict between the parents, it is important to remember a child’s needs. The child will of course need the basics of sleep, nutrition, stability, and the love of both parents. So, it is helpful to have a roadmap as you try to keep a hard situation from turning into something worse. It is important to protect children and keep their life as stable as possible. Children caught in the middle are traumatized and sometimes a parent will try to hurt the other parent by weaponizing a child. Other times children can be witness to terrible and even violent arguments, the impact of which will haunt them for years. Many of these traumas are inflicted on children unbeknownst to their parents. There are also many arguments that can be avoided by teaching cooperation, conflict management, and how to deal with loss – all of which, and more, are covered in this class.
The Two Parents, Two Homes Parenting Class (also called "Parent Education & Family Stabilization Course") covers the following topics:
- Ending the Relationship
- Mediation vs. Litigation
- Grieving, Loss, and Healing
- Dealing with Loss Effectively
- Developmental Stages of Childhood and how divorce affects children
- Communicating with Children
- Communicating with your Other Parent
- Conflict Management Strategies
- Domestic Violence, Child Abuse, and Divorce
- Legal Matters of Divorce
- Cooperative Parenting
- Parallel Parenting
- Parenting Plan
So, what’s the difference between your regular Divorce Course and a High Conflict Divorce course?
There are many similarities between the High Conflict Divorce course and the regular Divorce Course because there are many similarities between both a regular divorce and one in the midst of high conflict. In both situations parents need to remember the basic needs of children. No matter what happens, healthy, well-adjusted children need proper nutrition, sleep, stability and most importantly the loving care of their parents. During a divorce, the basic routines of a child’s life become unstable and conflict is a constant. Divorce is a naturally tense time, and it is very common for parents and even family members to argue over things like fault and how young children will grow up. However, during a high conflict divorce, the tension is even higher. This type of divorce will tend to have themes based more so on anger and even have elements of domestic violence. So, although it is still a divorce, there is another layer of chaos and we provide extra content to help parents cope and provide for their children. For the 4-hour divorce course, we focus a little more on custody and the basic needs of children. We also provide, for the parents, basic communication skills and how to cope with the changes of divorce.
